Diversity of bacteria in the gut and eczema in early life

A small clinical trial at Harvard by Forno et al (2008) found that infants suffering from eczema had less diversity in their microflora and microfauna than babies without eczema. The findings furthermore concluded that diversity of probiotic bacteria in the gut increased more significantly in infants without eczema.
