Preliminary studies show probiotics help with rheumatoid arthritis
Posted 2 years ago by Soraya in General Health News
A trial conducted on 45 patients shows lactic acid producing probiotics (Lactobacilli probiotics) may be beneficial in alleviating symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis. These probiotics have a regulatory and anti-inflammatory effect on the immune system and thus when administered resulted in significant reduction in pain and the increased ability to walk 2 miles. Further studies need to be performed on larger trial groups, however results are promising!
