Are the OptiBac products dairy free?
Unfortunately OptiBac Probiotics are not strictly dairy free. Our probiotic strains, such as Lactobacillus acidophilus Rosell-52 , are cultured on a base of organic dairy & soy, meaning that traces of dairy may remain in the probiotics. We therefore do not recommend the range for strict vegans or those who are severely allergic to dairy.
However for those who are lactose intolerant, healthcare practitioners do recommend the OptiBac range, as our probiotics aid the digestion of lactose.
