Suitability

Are there any side effects from taking probiotics?
Side effects from taking probiotics are extremely rare. A large number of clinical studies highlight that our probiotic supplements are completely safe for human consumption. Research shows that it is not possible to take too many probiotics; large dosages do not have negative effects.

Some people find that prebiotics can cause minor discomfort, bloating or wind during the first few days of taking them.  However these symptoms should dissappear and improve with time.

For further information, read up on  clinical trials on our probiotics

Note: Probiotics are not recommended for severely immunosuppressed patients, infants with short bowel syndrome (SBS), post cardiac surgery patients, patients with pancreatitis, patients with Type 1 diabetes, patients in the Intensive Care Unit or patients with blood in the stool;  unless under a doctor’s care.
