The OptiBac range consists of nine different probiotic supplements - all natural, and with no added colourings, flavours or preservatives. At OptiBac we specialise in probiotics & prebiotics, and offer various supplements including products suitable for infants, pregnant & breastfeeding mothers, for vegetarians, vegans, coeliacs, and for those who are lactose intolerant. How does OptiBac compare?

At OptiBac, all we do is probiotics and we consider ourselves experts in the field. Our probiotic strains are of the highest quality; each strain undergoes tests to ensure it is stable at room temperature, can survive stomach acidity, and can adhere to the gut wall lining so that it can multiply and exert its beneficial effects on the body.

In particular we focus on taking specific probiotic strains and targeting specific health conditions - acknowledging the fact that different species and strains have different effects on the body. This is extremely important to us.

We are completely transparent when it comes to the make-up of our products, and unlike many probiotic companies we cite not only the probiotic genus and species, but the strain as well. Developed in the UK, the range is available with independent health food stores and pharmacies nationwide, as well as with increasing international outlets. You can also buy probiotics online here and have them delivered anywhere in the world.

Getting personal

OptiBac Probiotics is a family business set up by a community pharmacist and his son in 2004. Both of the daughters joined the company after leaving university, and although there may be no blood relation with the rest of the team they are as good as family too. We are based in Andover in sunny Hampshire, we all love herbal tea and if you meet us you're bound to catch us talking about probiotics, even in our spare time and holidays. Sorry, we can't help it, we're just passionate!
