OptiBac Probiotics

Do OptiBac Probiotics require refrigeration?

There is absolutely no need to refrigerate any of the probiotics in the OptiBac range.

At OptiBac, we select only the most robust probiotic strains within a species, such as L. acidophilus Rosell-52 and B. infantis Rosell-33.  After the probiotics are extracted from the culture they are put through a process called lyophilisation; a safe, sophisticated form of freeze drying.  The probiotic strains are then tested to ensure that they survive at room temperature, and to ensure that the stated billions count is correct. The stated number of good bacteria in each probiotic supplement is valid right up until the expiry date.

The entire range is shelf-stable for your convenience - so keep your OptiBac in your handbag, on your desk at work, or on your bedside table - wherever means you won't forget it!  It is recommended to store our probiotics in a cool and dry place and away from direct sunlight.  Incidentally, if you want to put your OptiBac in the fridge, you can.
