Probiotics and antibiotics: Antibiotics do not distinguish between friendly and harmful bacteria and therefore kill off many probiotics in the gut, leading to side effects such as thrush, diarrhoea, or poor immunity. Lactobacillus acidophilus Rosell-52 is a natural resident of the intestinal microflora; this specific probiotic strain has been well studied to survive gastric acidity and bile salts expected at mealtimes and to reach the intestines without damage. In addition, L. acidophilus Rosell-52 is tested to ensure adherence to the cell wall lining of the intestines; where it inhibits intestinal pathogens and supports immune cells.
Lactobacillus rhamnosus Rosell-11 is a natural component of the friendly bacteria in the intestines; this species is one of the most studied in the probiotic world. L. rhamnosus Rosell-11 has been proven to resist bile and gastric acidity over pH 3 - therefore if taken at mealtimes (when pH is around 4), it will pass through the stomach without being damaged. The probiotic strain L. rhamnosus Rosell-11 is able to bind strongly to the intestinal cells and helps maintain a good digestion and a strong immune system.

It is not recommended to give probiotics to severely immunosuppressed patients, infants with short bowel syndrome (SBS), post cardiac surgery patients, patients with pancreatitis, patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or patients with blood in the stool unless under a doctor's care.
Filler: potato starch; vegetarian capsule: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, titanium dioxide; Probiotic culture: (Lactobacillus rhamnosus Rosell-11, Lactobacillus acidophilus Rosell-52); anticaking agent: magnesium stearate; antioxidant: ascorbic acid.
