Wren Laboratories is a family-run business based in Weyhill, near Andover, Hampshire, with an additional office branch in London. We specialise entirely in live cultures supplements and produce the OptiBac range, which is extremely well researched and targets individual health conditions and indications. The range is primarily sold to independent health food shops and pharmacies in the UK and selected international countries, as well as direct to individual consumers via our online shop. The OptiBac team could be described as close-knit, positive, enthusiastic, mutually-supportive and dedicated.

Team purpose

The London Sales team is a highly dynamic team, with strong technical and commercial aptitude. We pride ourselves on being team players, personable, good communicators, organised and professional. The overall aim of the London Sales team is to raise awareness of the products and to support retailers within the Greater London area as well as to increase the number of stockists.

Position in organisation

Location: London office to cover area of East London.
Reports to: London Sales Team Leader
Full Time Equivalent: 1 FTE

Main purpose and scope of the job

A London sales representative is responsible for a defined territory where they will support existing retailers with sales visits, training sessions and in-store demonstrations. They will also be responsible for prospecting any potential new account in the area towards growing the business within their specific territory.

Duties and key responsibilities

• Visit existing and potential new retail stockists
• Perform staff training
• Spend time in top retail stockists interacting with consumers, giving nutritional advice / perform tastings
• Support accounts with visits to take orders, organise promotions, look after merchandising in order to maximise sales
• Open new accounts, build key relationships and generate sales
• Manage own administration and notes
• Participate in trade and consumer shows
• Regularly liaise with the London Sales Team Leader
• Attend weekly team meetings at the London Office
• Write minutes from the weekly team meetings
• Plan, together with the London Sales team leader, and organise consumer and trade shows

General responsibilities

• Travel regularly to the head office in Hampshire

Candidate requirements

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma or relevant Degree in nutrition / nutritional therapy / naturopathy / herbal medicine / complementary health
• Applicants must live within the greater London area, ideally in East London.
• A full UK driving license and access to a reliable car is advantageous but not essential.

Experience

• Track record of sales success is essential
• Experience of working in the natural products industry would be a distinct advantage

Hours & Salary

• Full time (42.5h/week), Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work, permanent position based in East London (must also be prepared to regularly visit the Head Office in Hampshire)
