February has been National Heart Month, the British Heart Foundation’s annual campaign to help raise awareness of heart and circulatory disease, the UK's biggest killer, accounting for over a quarter of all deaths in 2011.

One of the main contributory factors of heart disease is high cholesterol. British Heart Foundation statistics reveal that 75% of over 45 year olds have high cholesterol and prevalence is growing each year. Campaigns such as National Heart Month and Ramp up the Red day hope to raise awareness of the risks of high cholesterol and promote simple steps to help lower our risk of heart disease.

At OptiBac Probiotics, we coincided the launch of our newest product ‘For your cholesterol’ with National Heart Month and helped our retailers create some great window displays. Let’s take a look at some of our favourites:

Above: Beanbag Natural Health in Witney had a particularly fetching window display.

Above: We loved the Valentines roses added by Antimony Balance in London.

Above: Another of our favourites was this balloon-tastic attempt from Nature's Corner in Newbury.

Above: ...and it looks like they had a lot of fun putting up their window display!

Above: We really like how CW Andrew's of London made the most of their tall windows too.

We're hoping that our new product 'For your cholesterol' really helped to raise awareness of National Heart Month. Its pioneering combination of live cultures and Alpha-linolenic acid, an omega 3, contributes to the maintenance of normal cholesterol levels. Find out more about the product here.
