The primary function of this role is to carry out a variety of finance activities to a high standard of accuracy, ensuring the timely completion of the company monthly management accounts.

Tasks & Responsibilities

The role is varied and tasks include the following:
  • Sales ledger
  • Credit control
  • Debt chasing
  • Taking and posting customer payments
    - Daily checking of bank payments and posting
    - Allocating payments received via cheque
    - New account opening
    - Maintaining existing accounts
    - Sending monthly statements
  • Online sales reconciliations
  • Review online and trade customer returns and action refunds where applicable
  • Worldpay weekly reconciliation
  • Expenses analysis
  • Assist Buyer/Planner with stock control
  • Assisting with general finance related administrative duties

Essential Experience

  • Working in a Finance office environment
  • Purchase and/or Sales Ledger
  • Accounting systems knowledge and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Providing excellent customer service


  • Education to GCSE A* - C standard or equivalent in English and Maths

Hours, Salary & Start date

  • Permanent position, full time (42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
